Preparation time: 30 mins  |  Cooking time: 30 to 40 mins  |  Serves: 6 - 8 people

INGREDIENTS:

  • 300 g of sugar
  • 125 g grated almond kernels
  • 125 g of gila jam (chila)
  • 20 gems
  • 100 ml of water
  • Powdered sugar and sliced almonds to decorate

PREPARATION:

Preheat the oven to 220ºC.

Bring the water with the sugar to the boil and let it boil for 3 minutes. Add the gila sweet and let it boil for about 3 minutes

Then add the grated almonds and let it boil for another 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and add a little of the mixture to the beaten egg yolks and mix everything together. add little by little to the mixture and mix everything together.

Pour the mixture into a pan lined with parchment paper. Bake at 220ºC for around 30 to 40 minutes.

Decorate with powdered sugar and sliced almonds and serve.
